I do not own Rave Master. If I did, yaoi would be rampant.
Okay, I am taking a break from Another Side of the Story. I'll probably have the next chapter in a few weeks. Until then, let this quench your thirst for fics.
The battle was over and the light had won. The battle had been huge. Corpses littered the battle field. Amongst the damage a young brunette sat up. She grinned weakly when she saw all of her comrades emerge from the rubble. All except one. The girl's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. Chocolate irises scanned the desolate land. The rest had taken to calling out their missing comrade's name. The girl stood on shaky legs.
They searched for hours, but still there was no sign of the missing comrade. She let out a choked sob when she realized what had truly occurred.
"I killed him." She whispered into the dusty air. A snowman-like dog padded over to her. Around its neck was a familiar silver necklace.
Suddenly, the girl's grasp on reality shattered. She swayed as she fell to the ground. Black dots clouded her vision. She could vaguely hear the others calling out to her, but she was too far gone.
Dream Sequence
The girl awoke in a white landscape void of any color. She looked around frantically. Had she died too?
"Hello?" her voice echoed over the white plain. When no answer came she sighed brokenly.
"I guess this is where you go when you kill someone, but this is good now I won't be able to hurt anyone else." She murmured. Her face fell into her hands.
"Elie, what's wrong? Why do you look so sad?" A voice familiar to the girl's ears called out to her. Elie whipped around. She came face to face with the one she had been searching for.
"Haru…?" She questioned. The boy in front of her grinned goofily. His violet eyes were closed in their usual joy.
"The one and only," he replied. Laughter laced his tone. Elie couldn't take it anymore. She narrowed her eyes and clenched her fists.
"You had us worried sick while you relaxed here! Oh, just wait until the others find out! C'mon, we're leaving!" Elie made a motion to move but was stopped when Haru didn't move with her. She gazed back at him, doe eyes asking an unsaid question. Haru caught on.
"Elie I can't leave. When you shot that last beam of Etherion it destroyed Lucia and sealed me in here." Haru stated. He wormed free of Elie's hold backing up a few steps.
"Where exactly is here?" Elie asked.
"The Star Memory." Haru muttered. It wasn't as if he wanted to stay, he just had no choice.
"I could only call you here once. All I needed to say is I love you," He smiled sadly, "but you won't remember. You won't remember any of this journey or me." Elie's eyes widened.
"You have to go now. I only had a little time." Haru said. Elie felt as though she could cry. Her thought train was stopped when she felt a moist pair of lips upon her own. The white plains began to fade.
Before she lost consciousness completely, she heard a soft 'I'll miss you'. She smiled. Then she knew no more.
Okay this is going to have a sequel which will probably be out next month, along with a completed Another Side to the Story.
