Katara's blood trickled down Aang's sleeve as he got out of his avatar state. He closed his eyes, squeezing the tears out of his eyes and down his face, onto where the boulder hit her on the head. He wanted to blame it on someone or something; Toph for the boulder; for having his avatar spirit; for being in an iceberg for a century, causing the fire nation to declare war, when he learned the true threat; the true blame; himself.

He began to go back into his avatar state again to attempt to finish his goal: Remove all threats to him, the people he loves, and the world.

He removed the dagger from the fire lord, and slowly began to repeat the process to himself. To set him and the world free.
