A/N: Just a little drabble-ish type fic. Insight into a scene in "Simon Said," because that's my favorite episode of the second season so far. This is also my first "Supernatural" fic, so reviews are greatly appreciated!!! Flames will simply not be tolerated. It's a crappy title. Sorry.

Disclaimer: Mine, mine, mine!!!! Yes all mine!!!... Wait a second. Crap, the check bounced… Never mind…

Dean was standing away from them. It appeared that Sam seemed to have things under control. Even though Andy wasn't exactly looking as if he believed the words coming from Sam's mouth. But eventually Dean's brother would get through to Andy. Telling his life story about his visions and the fire that stole his mother when he was six months old, then suddenly Andy would believe him. That was always how it worked. Besides, by not being close to Andy, Dean wasn't likely to be under the influence of Obi-Wan again.

But then, after bluntly asking Andy why he made Dr. Jennings walk in front of a bus, something changed. Sam wasn't following his pattern anymore. His soft, understanding voice took on a forceful tone. That and the constant jerking of his head told Dean that something was wrong. Even from where he was standing several yards away.

Sam's left hand came up and briefly pinched the bridge of his nose before bringing it up to his temple and massaging it. But it was useless. The damn vision was coming whether he liked it or not.

Dean was carefully watching his brother's mannerisms. Noticing the twitch of his head and the motions of his good hand. They were all slowly adding up to one thing, and he definitely did not like the idea of it. So he started slowly, carefully stepping up to Andy and his brother.

But when Sam suddenly fisted his hands into his long brown hair, Dean threw caution to the fan and rushed to his brother's aid. He gripped his brother's shoulders and studied his face. It was the same expression that came with every vision endured. It was one of pain but utter helplessness.

"What's going on? Is he okay?" Andy asked nervously. One minute he's holding a rather disturbing conversation with this kid and the next he looks like he's staring death straight on.

Dean ignored the mind-controller, his focus completely on his brother. That's why he was ready when Sam's knees seemed to buckle. Just like always, Dean was there to catch him and lower him gently down to the cement.

Sam's breathing was heavy, but he still managed to answer Dean's questions of what was going on. Now that his little brother was back to reality, he himself came back in time to hear Andy's incessant questioning about what was happening.

"What does he mean going to? What's he talking about?" Andy asked in a confused rush of words.

Dean's reply was "Shut up!" And with his stern voice that comes whenever strangers try to take his focus off his brother, Andy followed his orders.

Because sometimes, you don't always have to have mind control to get what you want. No- sometimes a little brother in pain will give you that power too.
