A warm, sunny day, with pristine azure and no clouds to hinder the light filtering through the glass windows. The only thing that could accentuate the loveliness of the afternoon was his smile.

At first he thought the boy couldn't tell the difference between daisies and dahlias.

His arrivals were inconsistant; he would come several days one week, once the next, never at all on others. He never bought anything, simply strolled slowly about the small shop and admired the flowers. He was rather helpless it seemed; he always asked the most obvious questions. "What are these called", "What do these mean?", "Why do these smell funny?". Under normal circumstances, Marluxia would have been annoyed, but he actually found it rather cute at times.

The glances, however, were what bothered him about the boy, if anything. Whilst standing, admiring the daffodils in the window, or contemplating before the tulips, no matter where he was or what he was standing by, sapphire huets would always return to the back of the cash register where he stood. Marluxia had a mind to ask why; his initial thought was simply that the boy found him attractive. It wasn't really all that far-out; the shopkeeper was used to having multitudes of admirers. One day, which was blessed to be bright and sunny as per usual, when the boy payed his usual visit, he decided to ask, "What is it you are looking for day by day?".

The boy's answer was simple in its sincerity. "I come...to see you."

With that understanding, Marluxia ceased his paranoid thoughts, his idea that there might have been something oddly entertaining about him that just had to be mocked or seen regularly, the mind state that the boy was simply an ignorant bystander who happened to know nothing of flowers.

His name was Sora and, as Marluxia found out, he did know that the only difference between dahlias and daisies were roses.
