Running, a whole lot of running, and never ever stopping. The first words he spoke to her... More like yelled. But she disobeyed, and he left her. They came wheeling at her, saw her, and turned the other way.
"How," he would whisper. "How is that possible?"
That's when it started, all the running, always running, a whole lot of running. Running into danger, never away. Why should she? She's indestructible, always walking out without a scratch. That's why he chose her. He'll die before she does. But what about her? What about the girl with the body that never burns?
I don't talk much. So, why would I speak now? A young girl ran past, terror etched on her small, delicate face. Then a man who looked like her was in his mid 30's ran past me, calling over his shoulder.
"RUN!"
I stayed put, not daring to run. Then, the... things came around the corner of the school hallway.
"EXTERMINATE!" It's robotic voice called out as it came near, pointing what looked like an egg beater at me.
I looked at it. Confused and intrigued. Then it turned away and wheeled back around the corner. That's when that same man ran up behind me.
"How'd you do that?" He looked at me more confused then I was.
"I dunno," I shrugged my shoulders and turned my body towards him.
"Come with me," I grabbed my hand, intertwining our fingers.
I followed unwillingly to an old police box. He opened the door and began to pull me in. I dug my right heel into the dirt, preventing him from doing so.
"You can just take me away from sudden death and then drag me into a big blue box!" I looked at him with an irritated face. He just smiled down at me.
"Just take a peak. I don't have all day, and I need to stop the Daleks. The things that almost just killed you... But didn't... Anyways! I'm The Doctor! GEROMINO!" He spoke quickly, then turned on his heels, walking into the police box.
I reluctantly walked in and couldn't believe my eyes.
"It sure is a big blue box..." I looked around in amazement as I whispered.
"Impressed?" He leaned against the railing, smirking at me.
"I suppose..." I looked over at him, crossing my arms over my chest.
"What? You don't think this is odd? A random man pulling you into a big blue box that is bigger on the inside. You don't find that remotely weird?"
"I guess," I shrugged my shoulders. "I'm not impressed easily. That's all"
"Well!" The 'Doctor' pulled down a lever and the box jerked. "Let's try to impress you."
"I thought you had to stop the 'Daleks'" I Looked over at the tall, slender man pulling different levers and pushing different buttons.
"We will be back five minutes before this. Don't worry." He spoke like it was obvious, walking over and hovering over me.
He walked around me and opened the door, stepping out. He popped his back in.
"Are you coming?"
I walked over and he moved. I stepped out of the Blue police box and noticed we had moved.
"Where are we?" I looked over at his confused.
"France, 1839. Victorian Era. Impressed?" He looked at me hopefully.
"Well..." I started.
