Trap for a Shinigami
It was a sunny afternoon and the wind was blowing gently and made you forget all your worries and just sit back and relax…yeah, only peace and relaxation..
That creazy Shinigami ! How could he disappear in a time like this? He said he must stick to me until I die –which is most unlikely to happen – or until the Death Note is full. So where is he now? Thought an impatient and angry Yagami Light.
Next to him a careful L was observing,sat in an armchair in a very awkward position.
"Yagami- kun, the meeting is about to start. Why are you so nervous?"
"What makes you think I'm nervous, Ryuzaki?"
"You've been pacing the room for five minutes", said the detective taking a piece of cake from a plate and eating it happily."At least you could change the direction, so you won't get dizzy."
"It's because of the meeting.I'm anxious to get on Kira's trace and finally put an end to all this"
"I understand", said L, still in doubt." So it doesn't have anything to do with the fact that Kira has stoped murdering for a while."
"He did? I had no idea!" Said Light looking surprised.Of course the murders stopped! Ryuuk took my Death Note with him, so I can't kill until I find that Shinigami! When I get my hands on him…
Suddenly an idea came to his mind.
"Ryuuzaki, I'm going out for some fresh air. There are still ten minutes left before the meeting starts, so I don't think there will be any problem." With that he left the room and got to the roof. The place is just what I need…if I can't find him I'll make Ryuuk come to me.
After the meeting L decided to walk a little and Light's sudden desire for fresh air intrigued him. After some exploring he got to the he roof wherediscovered a strange thing : a trap, like the ones sat for birds, only a lot bigger. And the bait was…
An apple? Who would want to get inside for an apple? If it was an apple pie… , thought the detective. Suddenly the trap closed with a loud crack.L came closer, to examine it.
"Hey ! I know you can't see me, but maybe you can sence me!" Complained Ryuuk desperately, fighting in vain to break loose."You're intelligent…figure it out!"
Hm…how could the trap activate by itself? Wondered L. Was Light working on this?Or is it just a plan to get me confused?
"If you won't set me free I'll be in trouble when Light comes. Don't leave me here!" Kept struggling the Shinigami
Apples are related to Shinigami. But are they real? And Light knows apples make me think about Shinigamis, so it could be a trap…maybe I should take my time and think about this, concluded L while Ryuuk was still crying to be released.
