Muse

By Any Unborn Child

There was something to be said about Mokona.

In fact, there were a lot of things to be said about Mokona.

Why Mokona's eyes did always close?

Why did Mokona jump up and down so much?

Why did Mokona act a lot like a little kid hyped up on sugar?

What gender was Mokona, anyway?

Why was Mokona so annoying?

Why was Mokona Mokona?

Those were very good questions.

There is a deeper side to Mokona.

Mokona may seem very hyperactive, but Mokona feels what everyone else is feeling.

Mokona is kind of like a barometer.

Mokona pointed out the obvious.

When people were happy, Mokona was happy.

When there was tension to be broken, Mokona was there, jumping up and down.

When everyone was ready to go to another world, Mokona was glad to get them going.

When Kurogane needed his sword, Mokona was there, gleefully spitting the katana out for him.

When Fai needed a buddy to laugh with, Mokona was there, making jokes at Kurogane's expense.

When Sakura needed someone to cuddle with, Mokona was there in all of the cuddliness.

When Syaoran needed some encouragement, Mokona was there to try to kiss him.

When people needed cheering up, Mokona did what Mokona did best.

Mokona cheered people up, without any thoughts about it whatsoever.

Mokona liked to support people.

Especially Syaoran, Sakura, Fai, and Kurogane.

Mokona liked them to do their best, and to be inspired.

Whether it is by a joke, a factoid that needed to be known, or by a big smooch, Mokona was there to inspire them.

In a way…

Mokona was their muse.

They really should thank Mokona.

She does such hard work for them.
