Disclaimer: I do not own the Teen Titans. And Raven is perfectly sane.

In case you do not understand the story, let me explain a little. This basically takes place after Raven has an accident and her mentality becomes like that of a little child's. Robin can't bear to see her because he feels guilty for not being able to protect her. They were going steady before the accident, and very much in love. Enjoy.

Richard's hand hovered over the phone. It continued ringing. It had been, for a while now, and Richard was afraid to answer. Yet afraid it would stop, and then he may never get to speak to her again.

He picked it up.

"Hello?"

"Robin?"

He swallowed hard. "Yeah it's me. What's up, Raven?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to call."

She was bleeding, so heavily. Blood flowed from the open wound on her head, like it would never stop. He could feel the hot tears on his face. Never before had the Boy Wonder been so afraid. Afraid of losing the love of his life.

"How are you, Raven?"

"I'm ok. They treat me really nice, except for the pills. They make me eat that stuff, every day. And then the funny bald man who sees me every week asking me if I remember anything. How silly, of course I remember."

"She probably won't recall anything." Sighed the doctor gravely. "The damage to her cranium was extensive. Her temporal lobe is almost completely destroyed. But she is out of danger."

"So… she won't remember anything about me… us?" Robin choked.

"Maybe a little. But small details like some experiences or events that happened before… she might have lost all memory of them. She might even seem a little… retarded"

"That's good, Raven."

"Will you be visiting me soon?"

He hadn't seen her in months… or was it a year already?

"Raven… I just visited you a couple of days back, remember? I took you to a movie, and we had salty popcorn."

He could imagine her brain spinning, making up lovely memories which never actually existed.

"Raven? Why are you playing with… dolls?"

"They are so cute." Raven giggled innocently. "Why don't you play with me?"

Robin smiled weakly, choking back his tears.

"Oh yes! Silly me. We do have so much fun together, don't we? It's just lovely. I hope you will come again soon."

"Sure, Raven. Be good, right? Listen to Cyborg and eat your medicine. Then I'll come see you really soon, alright?"

He could practically hear the hope and joy in her voice. It made him feel so horrible inside. It was like fooling a child.

"Okay Robin! See you soon! I love you." She giggled.

"I love you too, Raven."

That part was true.
