Dean trudged onto the muddy Quidditch Pitch and had a look around. The rain had finally slowed to a sprinkle. Several students were sitting in the stands, waiting. "Hey, Seamus," Dean called to his best friend.

"'Bout time!" Seamus exclaimed, rushing down the steps. Lavender and Parvati skipped down after him. "Where've you been?"

"Prefect held me up," he said, glumly. "One guess who?"

"Hermione," the other three guessed correctly.

"Yup, something about a missing remberall."

"Power crazy," Seamus mumbled as he straddled his Cleansweep Eleven. The four friends flew up into the air, ignoring the light rain, and Seamus tossed the Quaffle to Lavender.

"She really is," Lavender confirmed with a nod. She chucked the Quaffle to Parvati. "This one time, I was eating Reese's peanut butter cups in the library. I wasn't even touching the books but she still gave me detention."

"What'd you have to do?" Dean asked.

"Lines. 'I will not defile the published works of others while indulging my taste buds.'"

Dean chuckled as he caught Parvarti's limp throw with the tips of his fingers. They tossed the Quaffle about the circle a couple of times before anyone spoke again.

"I was in a broom cupboard with Cormac McLaggen last year and had just put my toe in his pants when-" Parvati began.

"You stuck your what, where?" Seamus laughed.

"My toe," Parvati continued, red faced. "He, well, Lavender knows. Cormac has a fetish for feet."

"That's disgusting!" Seamus laughed even harder. His throw went wild and Dean dove down to retrieve it. The rain started to pick up again and thunder could be heard in the distance.

"Leave her alone, Seamus." Lavender glared at him. "Unless you want me to tell them what we did with your wizard's chess set."

The boy paled and shook his head, not opening his mouth to say another word.

Dean returned and tossed the ball to Lavender. He glanced at his mate and decided he definitely didn't want to know.

"Anyway," Parvati shook her head as if to clear disturbing images away. "There I was with my foot on his bits when the door flies open, and Hermione just stands there, her big mouth dangling open. I thought I'd be doing detention for sure; when she just steps back, closes the door and walks away. I couldn't believe it," she finished with a smile.

"So, what'd you do?" Dean asked.

"Finished what we started, of course." She grinned at him and winked.
