AN: Well, I did say I would consider uploading something. And I do so enjoy writing poetry, at times. Here is a silly little poem inspired by Naurwe's "The Archer", I command you to read it, and review it. And review this if you are so inclined but that I do not require.
Gwaedhiel's Lament
Within the walls of well shaped stone
I will soon waste away
No Elf should dwell away from trees
without the light of day
I wander here, one Elf alone
and fear unfriendly eyes
I long to be away from here
beneath familiar skies
To hear fair voices ringing out
In old, familar songs
Instead of struggling under stone
to right such ancient wrongs
The will of my Queen bids me stay
and with the Dwarves conspire
Under the weight of mountains tall
in their vast halls of fire
Alas, sweet trees I sing to you!
To your fair leaves of green
To golden day and moonlight night
to starlight's silver sheen
To the clear pools in hidden glades
To deer that linger there
I dream of you, 'till home I come
To breathe the open air.
