This is based on the Madonna song "Take A Bow" It's about Amber and Link's relationship. I'm not used to writing stories based on songs, in fact this is just my second time doing it. But please R and R :)
Take a bow, the night is over
This masquerade is getting older
Lights are low, the curtains down
There's no one here
Say your lines but do you feel them
Do you mean what you say when there's no one around
Watching you, watching me, one lonely star
Make them laugh, it comes so easy
When you get to the part
Where you're breaking my heart
Hide behind your smile, all the world loves a clown
Wish you well, I cannot stay
You deserve an award for the role that you played
No more masquerade, you're one lonely star
Amber always has always been in love with Link Larkin for the day she met him back in the sixth grade. It was like a dream come true when he first asked her out. She just hoped that he realized that he loved her as well and she thought he did when he gave her his council ring. She remembered that day so well because it was also the first time they made love and he had actually told her "I love you." She thought he had meant that and told her friends about what they had did and that Link Larkin was in love with her. She loved how people envied their relationship; every girl in Baltimore wanted Link Larkin but she had him. She had no idea at the time it was all part of his plan. He was putting on an act from the beginning just so her mom could put him on the show so he could get his big break when he really hated her. He had told Fender and Brad that she was a snobby bitch that he had wrapped around his little finger and they would actually laugh about it. Her mom was right she did control his career but now that she no longer had that control he had no use for her at all. He dumped her for Tracy on the night of the Miss Teenage Hairspray pageant. The next day he bragged to the rest of the council members about how easy it was to use her and then dump her like she was nothing. He didn't even care that he had hurt her so much. All he said was that he was free of her. The show was over and Amber was all alone.
All the world is a stage
And everyone has their part
But how was I to know which way the story'd go
How was I to know you'd break
You'd break my heart
I've always been in love with you
Guess you've always known
You took my love for granted, why oh why
The show is over, say good-bye
Say good-bye, say good-bye
Say good-bye
