A/N: Hello! Right well this is my first fanfiction of my new account, I haven't written anything in 3 years I reckon, I will repost stuff from my old account if I think it's worth it (old account being csi-jess) So enjoy, I wrote this on a whim, because its something I've been meaning to do for a looong time! But I love Hugo, easily one of my favourite characters, I think it's because we don't know that much about him or the rest of the new clan for that matter =]

Basically read, hopefully enjoy, and review =D (Plus I don't own Harry potter =[ )

When they were 3 years old they nearly blew up the house when they both showed their first signs of magic, they sat and laughed whilst their Grandma Weasley tried to extinguish the teddy bear that was flaming in front of them.

When they were 4 years old, he'd sit at the front door, waving a stick, trying to make her appear. And she'd sit in front of the fireplace, calling his name.

When they were 6 years old they'd spend all day chasing each other on their toy brooms, or pretending they were world-famous Aurors defending the world from evil brothers and sisters.

When they were 9 years old they both watched those evil brothers and sisters leave them for what felt like forever. Having their own adventures away from them. Instead, they spent all day climbing trees, hoping to find Hogwarts when they reached the top. Instead all they found was grazed knees and a very angry bees nest. The next day they spent planning how to defeat the bees.

When they were 11 years old and received their Hogwarts letters they could not stop talking about it, they spoke about what house they wanted to be sorted into, what type of wand they would get or what their first flying lesson would be like. But the night before they boarded the Hogwarts Express they climbed that tree they'd climbed all those years ago, no longer worrying about the branches being too tall to reach. Instead they reached that spot where they'd met those bees all those years ago, in its place a scorch mark. It was there they told each other they would be best friends forever, no matter of houses, or new friends, they would always be there for each other.

When they were 14 years old, he'd knocked Sean Finnegan out cold when she had come to him crying. She'd found him in the hospital ward waiting for Madame Pomfrey to fix his hand. She told him that he was a stupid git, but thanked him all the same. Of course later that year she slapped Hannah Brown when she found her cheating on her best friend with some Hufflepuff third year. He found her sitting outside McGonagall's office playing with the hem on her robes. He sat with her grinning at how stupid they were, until McGonagall told him to wipe the smirk of his face of he'd be scrubbing the trophy cabinet til it gleams with the rest of his cousins.

When they were 17 years old they stood by the lake in their graduation robes. Behind them the rest of the Weasley-Potter clan stood admiring the Whomping Willow and pointed out the dents they'd all individually managed to make. The two cousins stood grinning, amazed they'd survived, amazed that Hogwarts had survived a new generation of Weasley's, amazed that they were still best friends.

When they were 25 years old they stood underneath their tree once again, she was dressed all in white, her new husband mingling in the gazebo behind them. Beside her stood her best man, who'd reminisced about the time he'd decked the groom when he thought he'd upset his best friend, the speech had gone down a storm despite his lack of public speaking talent. Underneath that tree they remembered that promise they made to each other all those years ago, satisfied that they would be best friends forever.

Lily and Hugo would be friends forever and there didn't seem to be much in their way.
