I finished watching Darling in the Franxx and I felt sad for how it ended, I started to think how else it could have ended, so here's my idea how it could have ended instead. In this story It took Zero two and hiro 5 months to reach the enemy's home instead of 8 years, they also defeated him and it took 2 months to return to earth.
Chapter 1
It has been 2 months since the Gate passage, Kokoro stomach seemed to grew.
Zero two body was still stone, looking up to the sky as if it were waiting for its soul to return.
"I can't believe its been two whole months since they left" Ichigo stated
"I know, time seemed to passed by so fast" Goro said
"Hey! We finished watering the plants" yelled miku as she ran up the hill, Zoromo followed behind her.
"Oh great job you two" said ichgo
"The farm seems to be more better than before" grinned miku
"Hey, when do you think Hiro and Zero two return?" Ikuno asked appearing behind Ichigo
"I-i dont know.." Ichigo replied
"Well, Lets keep this planet Going for Hiro and Zero two to come back to!" yelled out miku
"Yeah! Lets us keep this earth live for Those two return to!" Zoromo yelled out later as well
Ichigo looked up at the sky, standing next to the stone body that Zero two had left. "Hiro...Zero two.. make sure to come back soon"
152 days since the Gate Passage, Which is exactly 5 months.
Hiro Groaned as he streched his arms due to sitting down for so many days.
He was getting tired of seeing nothing but stars and constantly destoring troops of VIRM and he could tell Zero two felt the same.
Hiro looked before him. He saw it, the enemy's home. They finally made it! He didnt know how long its been since they enter the gate's passage, but they finally made it!
"Darling..We finally made it" Hiro heard Zero two say.
"Yeah, we have made it"
Both of their horns seemed to glow
