PROLOGUE
Artillery shells exploded and shook the ground around me, as I sprinted for cover. Machine gun fire sent the dirt around me in the air as I dived onto the ground.
The screams of allies in pain taunted me. In rage, I extended the bipod on my rifle, aimed down the scope, and got some high-caliber bullets ready for action! I scanned across the horizon before I spotted a fireteam hiding in an artillery shell's crater.
I adjusted my rifle's aiming position, reloaded a magazine, smacked the bottom of the magazine to make sure that it was in properly, pulled back on the charging bolt, and got ready.
I aimed at the fireteam's leader, and squeezed the trigger. A supersonic crack emitted, and the bullet was on its way. After half a second, the bullet reached the enemy. I eyed the situation via the scope mounted on the rifle, the leader was dead, but an enemy machine gunner had spotted me!
But my efforts were in vain as a mortar shell exploded next to me, knocking me out.
Where am I? My ears are ringing! Aghh! I feel hurt... I got on my knees. My legs hurt.My head tilted in all directions in hope of finding anything useful. I spotted a red cross and a white background in printed onto a soldier's uniform.
I crawled over to him. He was a combat medic, so I took the pleasure of taking his equipment from him. He was dead anyway, I hope he doesn't mind!
I (painfully) used a blood pack on a cut, but then I needed to clean the wound. So I crawled over to a pond (which felt like it took centuries).
I looked into the water to try and get some water, but something was odd. I couldn't see my reflection, the water was moving violently. I heard a supersonic boom in the air, so I turned my attention to it.
The most feared military plane was the cause of it, the 'A-10 Tankbuster.' plane. (Well, more like the anti-everything plane.) The grass rustled, and moments after, the plane opened fire! A low, loud rumble echoed through the air.
But what was it shooting at? Everyone here is dead! -Oh wait, I'm not!
It was at this moment that my vision blacked out, and the ear-ringing came back.
"(Distorted talking)" ...? "Hey, are you awake now? It's been two days!"
Who is that talking? -wait... TWO DAYS?!
I wiped the mud off my eyes to be looking back at a soldier. "Hello there. I see you are awake." The soldier said, with a sigh somewhere in there.
"Uhh...Hi?" I muttered back.
Who is this guy!
I tried to get up, but my legs wouldn't let me.
"Hey, -what the?" I observed the situation... "Why-... why are my legs tied to this stretcher?!" I demanded. "Sorry, but you have seen something that is a threat to national security." The soldier said, pulling out a needle.
OH NO! That guy is not a soldier!
I instantly knew what to do. The soldier got ready to inject whatever was in it, but as he got close, smacked my head (along with my helmet) onto his cap. The thing is, ambulance medics don't have helmets.
I leant over to the rope that had tied my feet down. I grabbed the unconscious soldier and dragged him close. I searched his body... Ahh... Here we go. Bolt cutters. "These will get the job done!" I said.
I proceeded to cut the rope off, and grabbed the vial/needle. It was labelled BIOHAZARD. I thanked my lucky stars, and got ready to open the doors, but first I searched the soldier's body some more. I decided to give him some pain, so I injected the needle in him, grabbed his rifle, filled my vest with magazines for the soldier's rifle, and I was ready.
