Yuu looked at the gold trumpet that laid on the ground in front of him ''Don't even think about it ,its not worth it'' said Asuramaru trying to warn Yu, but Yuichiro wasn't listening; he was drowning in his thoughts. "Why a trumpet" he thought, "everything around me is nonexistent, why a trumpet? and why is it so… familiar?'' The trumpet reminded him a day of old, in an era simpler and innocent. It was a quiet time for him, living at the orphanage. At least there he was safe and nobody wanted to kill him, he thought while lying on his bed reading his book and hearing his favorite blues. He didn't socialize with the other kids but rather drifting off in his own little world whenever he got the chance. His eyes slowly closed until a soft nudge on his hand interrupted his silence. Yu turned quickly to his right only to see Mika. The small blonde boy was standing next to Yu's bed with a happy expression on his face. Yu gazed into Mika's eyes and tried to feel angry about this disruption but for some reason the boy's eyes made him feel at ease. It was like those eyes made him feel at home, a home he never had. ''What do you want, Mika?'' said Yu silently and calmly. ''Sorry for annoying you Yuu-chan, but we and Kouki-sensei want to show you something'' said Mika unable to hide his excitement. Yu carefully put down his book and mp3 player and followed Mika. ''Come on they are waiting'' Mika grabbed Yu by his forearm and ran dragging him all the way to the playroom ''SUPRISE!'' the kids and Kouki-sensei yelled throwing confetti and laughing. Yu looked awkward. Nobody had ever done something like that for him before. Kouki-sensei approached and knelt in front of him. ''I read on your papers that today is your birthday so we wanted to surprise you, is it okay?'' Yu felt strange, but he didn't want to seem ungrateful so he put on a happy face. ''I don't know what to say…thank you…thank you very much'' the cute little boy said while bowing. The kids gathered before him once more with Mika standing in front of them while holding a box wrapped with blue foil that was held together by a neat green ribbon. ''It's for you'' says Mika extending his small hands giving the gift to Yu. ''We didn't know what to get you since you are new here, so please accept this '' Mika said while smiling widely. Kouki-sensei and the kids were all waiting with anticipation for his reaction. Yu opened the box and held the small gold colored trumpet in his hands. He was lost for words; he had never gotten a gift before. ''Mika told me you listen to blues all the time and I thought that a musical instrument would help you, so all the kids chipped in from their allowance and we got you this trumpet and a tutorial book. Feel free to do whatever you want with it.'' - ''Why are you looking at it like that?'' Asuramaru said interrupting his trip on his memories. ''I never learnt to play it, you know. I guess it is time to do that, I owe that much to them.'' ''NO DON'T,ITS NOT-'' The trumpets sound deafens Asuramaru, signaling the end of Yuichiro's humanity.
