Once upon a time the moon and the sun fell in love.
But the moon belonged to the darkness while the sun belonged to the light. Each day at sunset the sun got a glimpse of the moon, she looked so sad and each dawn the moon got a glimpse of the sun, she was stunning. It was such a sad love story, two lovers that could never be together but in each solar eclipse; the moon and the sun got to be...
"I love you" whispered the sun
"I love you so much" answered the moon placing a gentle kiss on the sun "Someday my place will be out of the darkness and next to you"
"There's nothing wrong with a little bit of darkness" the sun said flashing a small smile to the moon
"You bring me light, Emma" the moon said, their time coming to an end
"We will find a solution" the sun said kissing the moon one last time, smiling at the name she hadn't hear since the last eclipse "I love you Regina"
Smiling, the moon said "Until the next eclipse, love"
"Until then" the sun answered letting go of the last little bit of darkness that belonged to the moon. Looking down she saw people smiling, kissing, being happy. And up, here she was, catching glimpses of the moon, the woman she fell in love with in her human form, the woman she will always love, now, in their immortal forms.
