.org/work/1112060676527Like any other busy night of December 24, the holyday spirit invaded most people. Although night had already fallen, you could still see people on the streets looking for details for their loved ones.
Many were excited, but not the protagonist of our story.
Abby sighed and continued wrapping with colored paper a box.
She wore an elf costume; she had this job at a department store.
"All I want for Christmas is you" she sang in her mind while to giving the box to its owner.
She could not stop thinking about Christmas without her boyfriend by her side with his arms surrounding her in front of the fireplace eating cookies and giggling. But James was on tour again.
She was proud of him, James had recently sung for the President with his friends, but she couldn't keep him out of her mind
Abby look up to see how many people were in the line, not much.
But she could see that the stranger, who had been loitering around her since she began her turn, had not left. She didn't called security because somehow, he didn't make her feel uncomfortable; in fact, he seemed to be familiar and provided her with some peace.
As time passed, people left. When in the row there was no one, she still had ten minutes to finish her turn, Abby took off his cap and smiled satisfied. She was going to turn and look up for her coat and gloves when suddenly the stranger approached her running with a small box.
He wore glasses, used a hat and a scarf to cover his face. He didn't say a word and handled Abby the box.
When she finished, Abby gave him the box with a purple bow and stared at him for a while, it looked like someone but could not remember who. The stranger ran away leaving the box in her hands.
"Damn it!" She thought while she quickly took her things and ran after the stranger with the box in her hands.
She ran after him up to the roof of the place. It was dark and she couldn't see him anywhere.
Until suddenly someone hugged her by surprise.
She tried to scream and run away but it was impossible.
The stranger put his finger to her lips and whispered; "Shh ..."
He removed his glasses and all the stuff that covered her face.
"James!" Abby said as she hugged him excitedly.
" I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know. Make my wish come true"
James took her softly by the neck and kissed her.
Suddenly the fireworks lit up the sky.
In order to have a perfect Christmas together.
