Hey guys! This is Peaches. Anyway, a friend of mine(Shama Llama Ding Dong) asked me to post one of her works for her. It's basically a novelization of the intro to Majora's Mask. Remember, all credit goes towards Shama Llama Ding Dong (my friend's pen name.:)) Shama Llama, you rock! Keep writing! And remember...EVIL WOOD!!(inside joke)
Disclaimer: No, none of us own anything Legend of Zelda. If we did we'd be rich and famous and whatnot.
Did I mention this was written by my friend Shama Llama Ding Dong? :)
The sheer terror filled his soul as the two things he cherished were being carelessly used; his ocarina, the sacred relic of the royal Princess Zelda, and his beloved horse, Epona. Filled with rage, he lunged at the delighted person with a horrifying mask and extremely odd apparel. Roughly, he was shoved back into the original position he had been in while unconscious and the stranger sped off with his horse! He sprinted after the awful child and his two fairies, after his horse, after all he knew. He ran. The sweat began to form in beads on his forehead. His speed was nothing compared to Epona's. Stopping in his tracks, he gazed at the intimidating arrangement of gigantic tree stumps that led to a higher level of the forest. He deftly scaled the treacherous heights. Little did he know that these were but a small sample of the elevations he would be climbing later. But alas, all he had on his mind was the pursuit of this kid. Slowing to yet another stop, he entered a dim enclosed chamber where the Skull Kid has assumed a very relaxed pose with each fairy on either side, like watchmen at their posts. The dark character laughed a shrill evil laugh and informed him that Epona was gone due to her stubborn behavior.
Feeling an intense anger, he took a step toward the Skull Kid. Useless. The demented child began to rattle his head. This is when the pain started. He went into a trance, like whispered chants, he could feel himself changing. A prolonged scream broke from his lungs. Another shrill laugh filled the air. Skull Kid drifted off through the door giggling and thrashing in fits. Link attempted to run towards the closing door, but the pure white fairy, Tatl, rushed over and proceeded to beat him down with her circular body. The door closed with a heart-breaking crash. It was only at this point that she truly seemed… vulnerable. She begged him to open the door so she could be reunited with her brother, and she promised to stay with him until then. They lifted the door and maneuvered through the tunnels with no prevail. However, after flying from many tall posts, they found themselves inside of a large clock tower where a man with peculiar pack on his back and a goofy smile on his face lurked in the shadows. He called himself the Happy Mask Salesman. He appeared to be a kind and worried being. He narrated a short story about a mask that was stolen by the Skull Kid. The mask was terrible and had evil powers beyond compare. He pleaded that he needed this mask that he brought out of the depths where the Ancient Ones had hidden it. Also, he added that if this certain mask were to be recovered, he would change Link back to his original form. Link was forced to comply.
"So this is what it has come to," he thought. "I am working for a guy with a stupid grin. How could it get any worse?"
Way worse, Link… Way worse.
