Rachel is relieved when everyone assumes her behavior towards Sunshine is out of professional fear. Yes, Sunshine has a wonderful voice and a full range, but Rachel remembers how easily Sunshine took the accompanying part in their impromptu duet of Lady Gaga's 'Telephone'. Sunshine knows her place as well as she knows Rachel's.

No, the reason she absolutely doesn't want Sunshine in Glee is because of her…inappropriate thoughts. Those unconscious desires that surfaced in the bathroom, singing that silly pop song by a woman with a crazy wardrobe. And as much as Rachel wishes she could pretend her desires in that bathroom were an unconscious reflection of Lady Gaga's shocking liplock with that leather clad butch woman, no amount of self delusion can force her to blame that music video. It isn't like she'd decided to go homicidal and kill her boyfriend because he ate her honey or that she had an incurable itch to wear caution tape as an outfit. But there is a large part of her that remembers how she imagined herself to be that thin, confident, butch woman in leather as she cocked her head and sang right into Sunshine's ear, breathing the scent of her hair and wanting to take control, be the boss in ways she'd never imagined before. She could be boss and butch, to Sunshine's tiny soft body.

For once she's thankful for Sue Sylvester's terrible attitude. If she hadn't intervened when she did, Rachel might have done something dreadfully dramatic. Like marching across that bathroom and kissing Sunshine for all her worth, pushing her up against the wall and putting her hips between Sunshine's legs. Maybe putting a hand under her skirt, feeling the wetness she imagines would have been. She kind of wishes that Ms. Sylvester hadn't interrupted.

Dear, she cannot stop thinking these terrible thoughts. They are horrible thoughts, so thank God that Sunshine is now the enemy. Now maybe Rachel won't be tempted to do such…carnal things to her anymore. Maybe.
