"I wish I may, I wish I might, have this wish I wish tonight..."

The wish was never uttered into the still night air but still the girl's lips formed her secret desire... to one day reach the stars. Deep within those quiet words was a silent plea, to be granted both a voice to be heard and the wings to fly.

The darkened sky gave birth to a white feather, a feather that glowed with a gentle light as if it was the moon reflecting the hidden rays of the sun. With trembling hands, the young orphan girl caught the feather. There was a flash of light then sudden darkness.

"What's your name?" The woman asked her, she remained surprisingly calm in spite of the unexpected visitor.

"I don't have one." She focused her azure eyes on the woman, waiting for her reaction.

"Oh, really? Well, I guess I'll just give you one." The girl looked up in surprise as the winged woman smiled down at her. "I don't think Gao would be much of a name…" She trailed off, deep in concentration.
