Bella had a new problem now she had a blockage or clot in her neck and had to have surgery '' So now what ? '' asked Bella as she sat next to Edward , listening to the doctor .'' Come in stay a couple days and we'll remove it , you should be fine .''
'' Can it be life threatening ? '' asked Edward . The doctor nodded . Edward suddenly felt uneasy and didn't know why , suddenly he knew he never had too deal with the concept of mortality or even the thought of death but now the woman he'd loved had too and as he and Bella left he held onto her and not let go,he would try and make everything as easy as possible for her'd but how does one deal with death or mortality vampires have a long life , almost immortal and Edward knew he would have to tell the others .Driving home Edward had kept looking at Bella and was there'd something he'd could do ? '' Looking at me won't make it better Edward ,'' Bella told him ,'' It's part of life that's what makes us all human we're mortal and we have weeknesses that keep us aware of our mortality .''
Edward only smiled as they'd got back home he'd went around and helped her out of the truck and escorted her too the house .Edward had told Carlisle what happen and she went too lay down . '' I'd know I'd should feel sad for her Carlisle , but right now I feel more uneasy for myself then her why ? ''he'd asked . Carlisle searched for words too tell Edward ,'' Because as far as we'd go we'd may never know in fact what death is or pain and tou love her , you probably feel helplessly right now you wish you could help her but can't .''
'' That's partially it , but what will happen to me she's everything to me without her I feel nothing .'' Carlisle slapped Edward ,'' Quit thinking about yourself Edward , Bella's in trouble , she needs our help now all you can do is what you know how to do , be Edward for her , support her be there for her and say you love her , you know how to do that .'' Suddenly Edward felt something he never did before , his face was wet .
'' A tear ? '' asked Edward . Carlisle nodded ,'' Yes that means your only human after all .''
