INTRODUCTION
Long ago, there was a beautiful land known as the kingdom of Seireitei. The ruler of this land was King Byakuya, who ruled with a fair and just hand alongside his wife and true love, Queen Hisana. The young couple had been married for four years, and had yet to be blessed with a child. Finally, on the new month of January the 14th, Hisana had a baby girl. They named her Rukia, for she filled their lives with joy. Two years after, the couple had another daughter- Momo, named for the peach blossoms that were in full bloom that lovely June day.
Both girls were beautiful and loved by their parents. The elder, Rukia, was striking, with large indigo eyes that neither of her parents possessed; her jet black hair fell just past her shoulders, Rukia was the spitting image of her mother- except much, much shorter, paler, and the different eye color. She was the calmer of the two, more refined and princess-like.
Momo was much more energetic and outgoing then her sister. She also looked very different from both Rukia and Hisana- Lord Byakuya often stated that Momo had inherited her lovely brown eyes, different eye shape and face shape from his own mother. Momo's hair was also black, but much longer then Rukia's- although one couldn't often tell, since the princesses were mostly required to keep their hair in a neat bun.
These two young sisters are where our story begins.
