"Happy 17th birthday, Harry!" exclaimed Ron carrying a cake into the Gryffindor common room.

"Happy birthday to you!" Hermonie sang. Ron walked over and placed the cake on the table next to Harry's presents. There was one large and two small gifts wrapped with Christmas paper. The three friends sat down on the sofa. Hermonie lit the 17 candles and said, "Make a wish Harry!" He leaned close to the cake and took in a big breath. Then, with all his might, he blew out all the candles with only one breath.

Since they were the only ones in the common room, Ron asked, "So, what'd you wish for?"

Harry answered with a smile, "I can't tell you, or it won't come true." Ron was disappointed. Then, he re-lit the candles, so Harry could make another wish. Harry reluctantly blew them out again and was "forced" to tell his friends his wish.

"Okay, so you really want to know?"

"Yeah!" Hermonie and Ron shouted in unison.

"Fine. Here it goes. I wished that I was married to someone." Harry told them

"Who?" Ron asked with excitement in his voice.

Then Hermonie said in a mad voice with her arms folded, "It was probably Cho. Am I right?"

Harry replied, "No-"

Then, all of a sudden, a huge bludger crashed through the roof of the common room. It was headed straight at Harry. "Harry!" Hermonie screamed while pushing him out of the way of that bludger. But, instead, the bludger hit Hermonie. Harry, pushed to the floor, told Ron to go get Madam Pomfrey and tell her Hermonie was hurt. A few minutes after Ron had left, a whole gang of teachers came flooding into the Gryffindor common room with Madam Pomfrey leading them.

"Oh dear, oh dear!" Madam Pomfrey said while scurrying over to Hermonie. She asked what happened. Ron replied that a huge bludger had came through the ceiling and Hermonie had pushed Harry out of the way and, it crushed her. "Mr. Potter, you have a very good friend in her."
