Hey guys! Normally I do these author notes at the bottom but I decided to do this one at the top today. Anyways, I'm actually not really a fan of shipping characters, it doesn't matter who they are. I only wrote this story because it was suggested by Orangebird. But I have to admit, this story is kind of cute. It's also my first one-shot. Besides, I like writing. It's my thing. Well, I'm outta here. Bye guys!

It was nearly bedtime for Riley Andersen. The emotions were preparing for Riley to sleep. Joy sent the day's memories down to long term. The star wiped her forehead. Today had been a tough day.

"Okay, honestly they went overboard with the homework. Do they really believe we can complete it all?" Said Disgust in her usual tone.

"Don't get me started." Said the red emotion gruffly. Joy smiled.

"I'm sure we'll be able to do it! Anyways, Sadness, looks like you're up for dream duty!" Said Joy happily. Sadness sniffed silently. This day had been especially tough for her. She really didn't want to do dream duty. But she didn't want to look unfair.

"Okay." Mumbled the teardrop. Fear and Disgust had already left and Joy was right behind them, singing a happy song.

"You alright kid?" Asked Anger gently to the teardrop.

"Fine." Muttered Sadness, walking droopily over to the control panel, where soon a dream would be playing. Sadness looked behind her and saw Anger leaving the room. He gave a small wave. The teardrop waved back slowly. The dream suddenly filled the screen. It was Riley in her room, alone. No one was there.

Sadness sniffed slowly. She shifted uncomfortably and touched a few buttons on the console. It was more than homework that made this particular day bad. There was something else, to. Riley's favorite cousin passed away. Big deal, you say. Well, Riley was very close to this cousin. She had been calling her on Skype and they were like best friends. Almost. But then she was killed in a car crash. This cousin (Marita) Had really started being nice after Riley had moved. She'd heard about the running away and was very gentle. But now she's gone.

Riley sat in her dream room, staring out of the window. It was raining very heavily. She saw faint lights coming from cars. A tear rolled down from dream Riley's face. Back in HQ, Sadness couldn't take it anymore. She burst into tears. It was like a waterfall. Then the teardrop heard some footsteps.

"Sadness?" Said a male voice. Sadness turned around slightly to the red emotion coming towards her.

"What's wrong kid?" Said Anger comfortably. Sadness kept on crying, but finally stopped.

"Ma..Marita…" Said Sadness. Anger put his red arm around her.

"I know Sadness. I'm just as upset as you are. Why did she have to die?" Snapped Anger, resuming his attention to Sadness.

"We'll never see her again!" Cried Sadness, crying even more now.

"It's okay Sadness. It's going to be fine." Said Anger soothingly. Sadness was still wiping tears from her blue eyes.

"It's going to be fine." Anger said sweetly to Sadness. The teardrop looked at him.

"It's all okay. All is calm." Said Anger slowly. Tears were still rolling down her the blue emotion's face, but they were not as bulky. Suddenly Sadness pulled Anger into a hug. The brick was a bit overwhelmed by this, but he let her hug him for a little bit and then pushed her gently away.

"You okay now? Do you want me to continue dream duty for you?" Asked Anger. This is normally something he wouldn't do, since he hated dream duty, but this was a one off.

"Oh. Uhh.. Thanks Anger.." Said Sadness quietly.

"Anytime, Sadness. Just.. Maybe don't tell the others about this.." Said Anger.

"Okay." Said the teardrop, leaving to her room.

"Sweet dreams, Riley."
