Please excuse how short this is, the next chapter will definitely be MUCH longer (especially if you review o,~ )

Her entire body ached and throbbed. Hilda turned her stiff neck towards the hospital window, the evening light streamed through the heavy white curtains in hues of gold and orange. How long had she been here? It must have been well over a month since she was first admitted. The steady beating of the heart monitor droned in the background along with the whir of various other machines. It would all be over soon, she knew it. There was no way around it. She had somehow come into contact with the Tuburculosis disease that was now busily destroying her body. The outlook was grim, she had been pronounced terminal and only had 2 weeks to live.

Hilda spent most of her time sleeping when she wasn't visited by friends, family, nurses, or doctors. By this time, she could barely even summon the strength to talk. She knew her pokemon would have to go, Cheren was busy with his gym and Bianca wasn't able to take on her team. Hilda's thoughts wandered and eventually reached her ex-rival, N. He would have been an optimal choice to take care of her precious pokemon, but despite various attempts of contact she hadn't heard from him once since she was first admitted. Her anger rose, "What a liar," she thought viciously. "I'll see you soon, I'll always be there for you, I love you," Hilda recited his sweet words bitterly in her mind.
The rapid pace of the heart monitor brought her back from the cloud of frustration a betrayal. Hilda took solace only in the thought that her pokemon would be safe and well cared for in the Kalos region with Sererna. She had known Serena since she was a child, and had only recently just moved. Today was going to be difficult, her eyes traced the circumference of the plain white clock above the window. In a just a little while, she would be saying goodbye to her pokemon.
