The wind howled through the slight cracks in the window as the snow and wind covered the mountain range.
"Rose are ya sure about going out? I mean you can stay here if ya want.." The sweet and caring cowboy said worriedly as he helped the light brown haired girl get her jacket on.
"It's fine Tony! I'll be alright and I won't get lost," she said zipping up her dark brown jacket. "I can't afford to stay here till the storm passes. Imagine what Dusty is going through with her clinic and such."
"Alright be carful Rosie" he said hugging her and kissing Rose's forehead.
Rose hugged him back and left the warm wooden cabin into the freezing wind and snow.
As she walked up the snowy trail her long light brown hair got caught on something which almost pulled her backwards causing her to quickly stop. Rose turned her head around to see that there was absolutely nothing there that could of caught her hair. Sighing she continued up the mountain with the harsh wind and cold nipping at her face and hands. A few minutes later she heard a growling noise in the snow covered bushes ahead of her. Her body froze in fear she knew that the creatures in the forest were always aggressive and hungry during the winter.
She gasped at the sight of the creature emerging from the bush. It's eyes looked as I they were gouged out of its skull. Blood coated its pelt and mouth. It was visible to Rose that the creature was a blood covered Hounddoom. Its horns were cracked and mangled while its side appeared to be ripped open. It bared its teeth and lunged at her causing her to scream. No one heard her scream because it was drowned out by the sound of the blaring wind and snow.
