Author's Note: Okay, after using the Nail of Helena, Anderson doesn't speak, he simply attacks. This might have meant that the Nail suppressed his higher thought process, pushing down his human side. Well, what if a small part of his mind remained human, remained his throughout the fight?
Kill. Kill the demon.
First it was that strange voice in my mind. Then cold descended on me, pushing my awareness to the back of my own mind.
What have I done?
"You... you fool."
Alucard. He's walking towards me. Oh, dear God. He's not ready to fight. He just thinks he'll walk up and shoot me. He was right. It wasn't worth it. Why couldn't I have listened for once in my life? Now he's my only hope to be free.
KILL!
With a slash, Alucard's arm and head are taken off, but he still retaliates, firing his gun, shooting the side of my face. Can it even really be considered my face anymore? I'm not in control of my body.
"It's thorns. All thorns," I hear Yumie say somewhere behind me.
"Anderson, what in God's name have you done to yourself?" came Heinkel's voice.
I destroyed myself, is what.
"His body is no longer that of a man's."
You can say that again, Alucard.
"The only way either of us may return to dust is to have it gouged out of us; the sickness in our hearts."
Well that makes for a nice image to picture. Even I've never done that.
Kill the demon!
I do not see this ending well.
Alucard's guns aren't doing a thing.
I can't say I wasn't warned. I am officially the world's biggest idiot.
Unholy! Unclean monster! Demon! Kill! Kill! Kill!
Why did I ever think this was a good idea?
Then one of my bayonets slices into Alucard's head. I wait for his mocking, arrogant laugh. No! He's giving up!
Alucard, you can't give up!
"Master!"
Seras Victoria comes charging in, stopping the blade from cutting through Alucard anymore, even as, somehow, he and all his familiars begin to burn. Vines begin to wrap around Seras, and she cries again for Alucard, her voice laced with pain.
"You're too loud, Police Girl. Always so loud. What are you trying to do; break a glass?"
He stands up and reaches out, covering Seras' hand with his own.
"Anderson. I'm glad you could finish me. That day on that sun-drenched field five hundred years ago I'm glad I gave you a heart."
Uh,... thank you? I think.
"But it's over now. You cannot defeat me!"
The bayonet and vines break. Regenerating, Alucard reals back.
"Humans kill monsters. They must be killed by humans alone!"
With a cry he charges forwards, ripping through the vines that seek to stop him. With his bare hand, he impales me right through and rips out my heart. I fall, my body mostly gone.
Thank you.
End Note: Okay, so mostly Anderson beating himself up for being stupid. Please review.
