Chapter One:

Let the past die. Kill it if you have to. That's the only way to become what you are meant to be. Kylo Ren's previous words circled in his head. His mind had been twisted into something he hadn't experienced before. It was her. The girl. He tried to shake the images out of his head, but he failed. He remembered touching her hand, the stone hut, and the fire that burned of the passion between them. It was surreal, but at the same time it wasn't. Snoke revealed that he had forged the bond between them, corrupting their minds so that he could find the map to Luke Skywalker and that Ren could kill the last Jedi.

Snoke.

Kylo Ren had betrayed his master. That was the blunt of it. It was the Sith way to kill their master and take their seat of power, but Kylo wasn't a Sith. He wasn't before, wasn't now, and would never be one. His grandfather, Darth Vader, had ended the Rule of Two when he sacrificed himself to kill his master Darth Sidious. From then, the Sith were no longer existing, but the dark side was. Snoke was trying to corrupt him and turn him into something Kylo never was, and never planned on being. Han Solo's accusations were false to him. Snoke couldn't crush Kylo. Snoke was too weak and old to be able to fight the remaining Jedi. Snoke used Kylo to get what he wanted, and it worked. There was no point of eliminating his servant. Kylo realized of the pawn that he had created of himself. Armitage Hux had been another thing to deal with too. Not only would Kylo have to deal with the tauntings and punishments of Snoke, but sneered at by the General. Kylo had ended that. Snoke was a corrupt person, but he was wise. He knew how to play Kylo Ren and Rey. He just didn't think of betrayal. If Snoke could have predicted that Luke Skywalker would have appeared on Crait, then he never said anything of the sort. He either didn't know, realized that Luke would come as a projection through the Force and wanted to test Kylo, or the third and most improbable was that Snoke knew that Luke would appear at Crait and Snoke would kill Kylo before he could battle him, so Snoke could take the victory for himself. Han Solo did say that once Snoke had what he needed he would crush him. Snoke couldn't battle Luke, so he sent Ren in his place. If Kylo won, then he would crush Kylo Ren and eliminate his possible downfall. Kylo did it first.

Snoke had power, but not enough to keep himself from death.
