Author's Note: This story is AU. I am not sure how I came up with it (honestly I was lying in bed at 5 in the morning trying to fall asleep—since I unwillingly pulled an all-nighter and gave up on it—and then just thought of this). The first chapter will be short, and I will not update another chapter until I get an answer to my "special request" in a review. This is more of a prologue, I guess.
SPECIAL REQUEST FOR ALL OF YOU:
If anyone could tell me how old Elle really is in the show, that would be GREAT.
This story follows two different perspectives—Elle, and the random girl that Elle finds.
My bare feet pounded against the freezing ground. White blocked my vision, but I knew that I could not let anything affect my running. Stumbling forward, I continued through the forest I found myself running through. There were shouts and barking dogs coming from behind me, despite my many attempts to block them out. I made a sharp turn, tripping over a tree root and falling flat on my face.
Now the dogs and people were getting louder, coming closer. I struggled to get to my feet, though I just kept tripping. All of it was over now—I knew it. I hated knowing it, but I had to accept it. However, just as I accepted that I was about to die, a blast of something that reminded me of lightning sailed just over my head.
