A/N: Hey guys! This is my first KnB fic and I was really happy with the way it turned out even though it is a slightly depressing fic. But whatever :P Hope you like it!

Disclaimer: I don't own Kuroko no Basuke or it's characters. This story is the work of my own weird and twisted imagination

"This is our final goodbye Kise." Aomine said softly, gripping Kise's hand tightly. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be Aominecchi. It's not your fault." Even with tears in his eyes, Kise still found the effort to smile. "It was fun you know, being with you all these years." He ran his free hand through his hair, pushing it away from his face.

The blue haired man ran his thumb along the blond model's knuckles. "I just wish I could have tried harder you know. I wish I could have done more-"

"No Aominecchi," Kise said suddenly sitting up and placing his finger against his lips. "There was nothing you could do." The small forward moved his hand so it now cupped his cheek.

The power forward gently pried his hand off his face and pushed on the model's shoulder. "You should rest Kise; conserve your strength." "I'm not going to break Aominecchi. Stop fretting." But despite his statement, Kise did indeed lay back on his bed.

A silence spanned between the two of them then, it wasn't awkward though. It was quite comforting in a sense.

Aomine looked over his boyfriend during the silence. His normally flawless skin had turned a sickly shade of its original colour and looked paper-thin. His golden hair lay flat and dull against his head. A single tear escaped his eye and splashed down into their conjoined hands. "Ryouta."

Kise looked up at the sound of his given name. "Goodbye..." The blue haired man whispered. "Goodbye Daiki..." Kise's weak voice said back before the model closed his eyes for the final time.

Kise Ryouta.

A man loved by all. He will be missed.

Comforting hands lay on Aomine's shoulders and arms. His former teammates from Teiko. Kuroko Tetsuya; Midorima Shintaro; Murasakibara Atsushi and Akashi Seijuro.

"May his soul rest in peace." Akashi said softly. Kuroko knelt down at the graveside, placing the number 8 jersey of Teiko beside the bouquet of flowers and the number 7 jersey of Kaijo that lay there.

It was all too much for the power forward then. Sobs escaped his mouth and the tears streamed down his face. Kuroko tried to lead the taller man away from the grave but Aomine was adamant not to move.

"It would be wise to leave him on his own for now. We all loved Kise-kun but..." Kuroko left his sentence unfinished but all of them knew what he had wanted to say. One by one, the other men trailed away from the graveside, leaving the blue haired man alone.

Eventually his sobs quietened down to silence. He swiped at his eyes before sitting down in front of the gravestone. "Hey Kise," he said softly, as if the blond was sat there smiling away in front of him. "It wasn't fair how you left us. But know this. I will come to find you. Whether that's sooner or later than expected, I will find you."

At that moment, Aomine felt something being draped over his shoulders. He turned around quickly, expecting it to be one of his friends stood there with a blanket, but there was nothing. No one was there and there was no blanket. He closed his eyes and turned back to the headstone. "Don't be stupid," he muttered. "It can't have been him."

But somehow, he knew. He knew that Kise was there with him. It was Kise's arms he had felt wrap around his shoulders. He lifted a hand in front of him, placing it over the blond models name. "Goodbye Ryouta. I'll see you soon."
