We each gave up our most precious thing at the start of our journey, or at least that's what I thought, I muse as I look at the kid, the princess, the pork bun, and the idiot mage. We had reached another world, and the feather was found fairly easily, but a nights rest sounded good to everyone, so we decided to hole up here. I've had an easier time sleeping in the quiet worlds, but this one feels different. I rub my hand on the back of my neck as I stand up and move to sit out on the balcony of the hotel room we managed to snag for a cheap price. Shutting the door quietly I look out over the landscape.

The mage lost his tattoo that day…..

I look up at the starry sky, it's almost peaceful. It reminds me of Nihon.

He mentioned a promise, but he's broken that promise to help the kid and the princess. He's never once used it selfishly.

I look out at the city. I allow a small smile to touch my features, as I lean on the banister.

Syaoran lost his bond with his princess.

Thing is though, if he truly wants his princess to love him again. He only needs to start over fresh with her and hope that her feelings have grown. I glance back to the three sleeping figures and look back out over the night. I know that their feelings have grown stronger than before, but the two refuse to admit their feelings.

I lost my sword that night.

I look back into the room and see the glint of my new sword. While it's trusty I sort of miss The Silver Dragon, but it's no longer my most precious thing.

"Kuro-puu? What are you doing out here? Come to bed," The mage pulls my hand off the banister, and leads me back into the room. He lies down on the bed, and I lie next to him. I even out my breathing, and wait for a while, before turning on my other side to look at the mage I shared a bed with. My hand moved up and gently brushed a stray piece of hair out of his angelic face. His blonde hair framing his face like a halo. Slowly I wrap my arms around the smaller form. I draw the idiot in closer to me and breathe in his scent. I smirk at the familiar scent flour and chocolate. I give a small sigh as I place a kiss on the top of his head.

"Good night, Kurogane," The mage mutters wrapping his arms around my waist.

"You tease, you were awake?" I mutter sleepily. The mage doesn't answer, but instead cuddles closer to me. Absently my hand strokes his feather-soft hair.

"Good night, Fai," I whisper planting one more kiss on his head before falling into sleep.

Fai is my most precious treasure, and I would do anything to make him truly happy.
