I'm sorry it's taken so long for me to write. I didn't know where you were staying on the continent and Rose only got your address from Lady Grantham. How was your trip? I adore Paris and Rome; I hope you had as wonderful a time as I did when I was there.
I'm doing well. I've take your advice and not agreed to any of Papa's recent schemes. Rose also introduced me to a young man named Lawrence. We met at Downton Abbey. He's very nice and asked if he could see me again.
I'm afraid I must go, my aunt is taking me to the theatre and I must change. Do write back soon.

The trip was fine. Paris and Rome were the highlights, but neither topped London.
I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure this Lawrence is a nice kid. Be careful though.
How was the theatre? I'm not really one for it, but I don't mind going every now and then.
My mother received a little from your father the other day, I don't know if he told you, but he says he'll be in Newport next month. Are you joining him? If you are I'll make the trip up. If you come I'll show you around NYC.

"Why, yes, but how did you know?"
"May I come?" She continued, avoiding the question.
"Well, yes, I suppose, if you like, but how did you know?"
"You wrote to Mrs. Levinson, her son told me."
"Ah, so you're still in touch with him."
"Yes, we're friends."
"Very well my dear, you may come." Lord Aysgarth agreed.
"Thank you Papa." Madeleine beamed.
