Aoi Hyoudou: Taking a brief break away from Aura Guardian of Beacon: Resurgence to do this one-shot. I'm quite a fan of Tales of Berseria and I can't wait for it to come out in 2017 on the PS4. The pairing I'm doing might be a little…weird to some of you, but hey! The game did hint that Velvet and Laphicet were really close, so why not?! It must be a dream.
It has to be!
There was no way…No way that…Velvet would be leaving forever.
Right?
They've gone through a lot together.
With Rokurou.
Magilou.
Eizen.
Elenanor.
And yes, even with Bienfu.
Velvet wouldn't dare abandon her friends, her new family, and especially him.
Then why does his heart ache so much as wet tears were welling in his eyes?
Answer that.
He wanted to follow her, he really did, but she refused to allow him to do so.
Instead she told him with a gentle smile on her face that his place was with the others.
His time with her was over.
Laphicet refused to accept it as he desperately pleaded the black haired girl who he looked up to as a friend, an older sister, and…someone much more than that, to stay with him.
But, once again…she regrettably declined his pleas.
In one last futile attempt, he shouted the words he hoped would change her decision. "I love you, Velvet!"
Velvet smiled with tears in her eyes. "Thank you. I love you too, Phi."
And just like that….she was gone.
Gone forever in his life.
A/N: Yeah…this little scene was inspired by the final moments in the game's ending where Velvet's finally reunited with her younger brother after defeating her 'supposedly' evil brother-in-law, Artorius. While it remains unclear rather or not the love between Velvet and Laphicet/Phi is platonic or 'family' love, I'll still ship the two, regardless! I love them both!
