Maxine and Ms Miles were standing anxious and emotion as the doctors tried to resuscitate Allie unaware of the events that had just occurred at Wentworth.
"We got her back." Maxine breathes a sigh of relief as she hears the doctors say that however that relief would soon to be broken. Ms Miles's phone suddenly shrills.
"It's the Governor" Ms Miles pulls away from Maxine for a moment to answer the phone call that would change everything "Yes Governor. What? Oh god... When?" Maxine turns to look at Ms Miles who had gone white as a sheet. She knew immediately there was something wrong. Seriously wrong. "She's alive. Yes. Thank you" Ms Miles hangs up and looks at Maxine then at the doors to Allie's room. She needed to tell Maxine and Allie. This was going to break their hearts. "There's been an incident. I'm so sorry Conway" Maxine couldn't grasp what Ms Miles was trying to tell her. "It's Smith. She's..." Ms Miles couldn't finish her sentence as the reality of the situation hits home. She has to sit down as Maxine realises what has happened
"Oh no... oh please no..." Maxine starts to sob as realisation hits like a freight train. Bea was dead. "No Bea." Maxine falls to her knees in despair as the doctors leave Allie's room unaware of the events "Oh no... no no no"
"Ms Novak is awake. By some miracle she's going to live" This made the news of Bea's death harder to bear for both officer and prisoner. Allie was going to be devastated "What's happened?"
"A prisoner has been killed at Wentworth... She was Novak's partner" Ms Miles says softly a tear escaping her eye. She was going to have to tell Allie that Bea wasn't going to be there when she got back. "I need to tell her" Maxine stands up, her knees weak and her heart broken. She shakes her head and looks down at the ground
"Let me. Please Ms Miles." Ms Miles knew why it would be better for Maxine to tell the blonde prisoner, at least then she'd have the comfort of a friend. The prison officer nods as the doctor slowly pushes the door open for Maxine. Allie was sitting up still looking extremely ill but awake
"Maxine. Hey. Did you come check up on me for Bea?" The mention of Bea's name was enough for the tears to fall from Maxine's eyes
"Allie there's been an incident at Wentworth. I'm so sorry Allie I really am" Allie knew by Maxine's obvious heart break that it was Bea. She shakes her head not wanting to believe it. She starts to sob shaking violently
"Where's Bea Maxine? Where is she?"
"She's dead Allie. She's..." Maxine pulls the devastated girl into her arms holding her as the blonde kicks out screaming in devastation at the loss of her love "I'm so sorry"
"Noooo! Bea!" The sound of Allie's screams were deafening to everyone. The blonde was utterly broken and would remain so. She had no one now. Bea was the love of her life and she was gone. "Bea!"
