(Also trying to decide if I should include a brief summary of what I'm making fun of in each chapter. If you have the burning urge to Know before you read, let me know, so I can start writing individual drabble summaries.)

"Krystal," Fox said. "I-i…"

"You don't have to be nervous around me." Krystal's smile caused warmth to bloom in his chest, making him back away his muzzle even farther. Every time she said something that made him feel good, it ended up making him feel like he was in grade school, being put in The Corner. "Come on, Fox, you've saved the Lylat System twice now, but you can't talk to me?"

Fox's laugh came out short and high-pitched. "I, uh. I have no problems talking with you. It's just, uh…"

Krystal sighed, her smile collapsing into a frown. "Fox, how oblivious are you? Can't you tell that I've been trying to get in your pants this whole time, ever since we first met?"

Fox backed away, and he collided with his nightstand. He barely caught the lamp before it hit the ground, and he knew he wasn't panting because of physical exertion.

"W-well, I mean, I'd considered it, but—"

"Do you even like girls?"

Fox felt himself break into a goofy grin. "Ahh, I can't believe you're asking me that."

"Do you?"

"Gods, yeah." He'd thought it was a joke at first, but it was even funnier knowing that she'd honestly asked him the question. "It's just…" He looked away.

"What?" Krystal reached out, her paw resting on his shoulder, lightly massaging it. "It's just what?"

The goofy grin returned. "It's just, you're so hot."

Krystal sighed. "I know! Why aren't you interested in me?"

Fox held out his paws. "Hey, hey, I-i'm interested. Really interested."

Just like that, she was smiling at him again. "We should do something together, then, Fox. Just the two of us."

Panic hit him. "No, no! We can't!"

"What the hell?" Krystal rested her paws on the top of her head. "Fox, I'm attracted to you. You're attracted to me. Why don't we—"

"N-no!"

"I swear, it's like you're neutered."

Fox was already running towards the door when he said, "I have to go."

He was halfway down the hall when he realized that he had no idea where he was going, and that he'd left her alone in his room, and now it would be ages before he could get her wondrous scent out of there.

And now she even knew his secret. Damn it all, he'd never get any rest now that she knew what he thought of her. He just wanted so badly for her to like him, and he didn't want to screw it up—but how was he supposed to get her to like him when she already liked him and he already liked her, and they both knew it?

Girls are crazy, he thought.
