Ted, Lily, Robin, and Marshall watched as their friend entered the bar. He wore a new suit that had pinstripes. The pinstripes were some of Barney's favorites. He had a smile that sparkled as he talked on his cell phone to someone. He pointed a finger at Wendy to motion for a drink before having a seat in the booth next to Robin.
"Okay, alright, I'll see you then. Bye." He hung is phone up and smiled.
"What was her name Barney?" Lily asked as she rolled her eyes.
Barney grinned. "Veronica. She's got the biggest-"
"We don't need details." Robin replied interrupting him.
Barney's smile only widened.
"Barney, is that a new watch?" Ted asked looking at the diamond incrested rolex around his friends wrist.
"Nice, huh?" Barney asked showing it off to his friends.
"How rich are you these days Barney?" Marshall asked. "Millions?"
Barney snorted a laugh. "Marshall, please."
He pulled some brochures from his jacket pocket. "So, check these out. I'm thinking about buying one."
He showed his friends pictures of mansions.
"Barney, what are you going to do with a house this size?" Ted asked.
"One floor will be used just for a lazor tag arena." Barney explained.
"Of course. Barney, have you given any more thought to donating to charity?" Robin asked.
"I earned this money. So unless you're talking about a stripper named charity, Stinson out!" Barney replied. "Oh this one has a swimming pool."
His friends rolled their eyes.
"Hey buddy. That your lexus outside?" Carl asked as he approached the table.
"Yep." Barney smiled proudly.
"Barney, did you have a shopping binge today?" Lily asked.
"No, Lily, I won it. I was up in Vegas. I was hitting the slots. Hanging with Karma. I won a car and a boat load of money." Barney explained.
"When did you go there? You were at work just yesterday." Marshall asked.
"Last night. I got another bonus for a contract I landed with Finland. I decided to go have some fun." Barney answered. "I picked the lexus up from the car lot in NYC this morning."
"Barney, your spending too much. Too lavishly. Your going to get caught up in it all." Lily warned.
"No, I'm fine. I have a ton of money. I can do what I want." Barney told her becoming irritated. His cell phone rang. "I have to take this." He answered speaking a language they didn't understand. He slowly stood up and left the table.
"He's getting to indulged. Someone needs to talk to him." Lily said. "He's going to turn into being all about suits and money and stuff."
"I think it's too late for that Lily." Marshall told her just as Barney was seen leaving the bar. "He doesn't want to listen."
Lily frowned.
