The life-sized alligator fell flat as the old door broke off its hinges, thanks to age old reptile-like weight.
"I hope you have the money to pay for that." The red-furred boss said from the desk.
"But sir, this is important!" The poor creature said, picking him off the splintered rubble.
"We're on a strict budget, detective!" the red creature reminded his poor cohort.
A purple chameleon suddenly appeared in mid-air and dropped to the floor, bowing to his shadowed master.
"Forgive him, teacher," he said in his partner's defense, "He only wanted to tell you about an interesting bounty we saw."
The creature's eyes glinted in the darkness as he moved to the upright position in his chair.
"What sort of bounty are we talking about?" he asked.
The chameleon started to look in haste for the piece of paper he got from the mechanical monstrosity. He knew he had it!
An over-sized bee wearing an aviator's headset came in holding the paper his partner in crime lost.
"Here it is!" he said at the top of his lungs. He then handed over to the mysterious creature in the shadows.
The creature looked at the paper, his interest growing. His age old curiosity peeked. Who was this trouble maker that was worth a million dollars? And did he force the child in on his antics? A smile slowly crept across his face.
The paper suddenly slammed with the help of a large gloved fist. "Looks like we finally have work, partners."
The alligator and the bee suddenly smiled as the chameleon only looked at his master with an emotionles expression.
"Chaotix detective agency, move out!"

The bird flew across the sky, letting the air flow into her lungs. She enjoyed riding the air when she was not in the Rogue's blimp. She thought about her leader. He always stayed on the blimp, looking at that strange relic. Again the fear returned. She shook her head and continued.
On the ground, a group of people were looking at a piece of paper on the wall, far below the mysterious rider. She suddenly took a dive straight down and stopped right before the fatal crash. She took the piece of paper from the ground and read it through and through.
A smile appeared as she activated her communicator.
