This is from Olivia's POV. Charlie and those people are 16, and Tancred and Lysander are 17.

The Date That Didn't Turn Out That Great
I couldn't believe my eyes… was this really happening? I was peeking out my window and I saw Charlie Bone with a dozen roses and a box of chocolates. He was wearing a tux… "OMG!" I screamed. I think he heard me, because he looked up at my window.
I closed my blinds as quickly as I could. Then I ran downstairs as fast as possible. I waited for about a minute for him to knock or ring the doorbell – then I couldn't wait any longer. I opened the door. "Hi, Charlie!" I said excitedly.
"Um, hi," said Charlie Bone, my best friend/crush. "Um, Olivia? I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date… maybe like right now." said Charlie, trying to get it out. "That would be fabulous! Just give me a half an hour and surprise me. Where are you going to take me?" I said, hoping it would be a nice, fancy, restaurant.
Finally, about forty-five minutes later, Olivia came out of her bathroom dressed in an aqua blue knee high dress with sequins everywhere! She also had white gloves that came up to her elbow and aqua blue streaks in her hair which was all curly. According to Charlie, she looked amazing!
When she came outside, Charlie was already there in his own 'piece of art', but really just a beat-up white Chevy truck.
"So where are we going?" I asked, very confused about everything. It looked like he was going to Gabriel Silk's house, but that couldn't be right. Could it?
"It's a surprise!" said Charlie excitedly.
Charlie's phone started to ring, and he answered it. "Hello?" he said. Olivia couldn't hear what someone was saying at the other end, but she was sure to find out.
She sent Emma a text message that said "Em, guess what? Charlie is taking me on a date! But he is acting kinda weird. GTG – livie."
All of a sudden, Charlie stopped in the middle of the road. "What just happened?" I said, with a worried attitude.
"Oh, it's nothing." said Charlie in an easy-going tone. Charlie got out of his car and opened the back of the truck.
"What do you have to get back there?" I said, confused.
"Oh, some tools." said Charlie.
"Do you know how to fix it?" I asked.
"Yeah, the same thing happened about 10 times when I was coming over to your house." said Charlie.
"But I only live 6 blocks away," I said.
"I know" said Charlie. "Oh no, I dropped my wrench!" said Charlie in a worried voice.
"What's a wrench?" I shrieked in a panicking tone.
"It's a tool!" yelled Charlie in a very annoyed voice. Then all of a sudden they heard a big BOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!
"What was that?" I said in a scared voice. We searched all around until finally, in plain sight under the truck, we found something shiny and silver.
"The wrench!" Charlie yelled.
"That's what a wrench looks like?" I said, sounding unnatural.
"Now I can fix the truck and we will be on our way!" said Charlie sounding so excited and not one bit annoyed.
Ten minutes later we were back on the road. I was right! We are going to
Gabriel's house. I was hoping we would go to a nice restaurant, but Gabriel's mom is a first-rate cook.
We arrived quickly after that… incident… and sitting in pairs were Tancred and Emma, Lauren and Lysander, Gabriele and Naren, and 2 seats reserved for Charlie and Olivia. It was like a restaurant!
"What took you so long, Livie?" said Emma.
"Oh, it's a long story!" I said,
"Well, Livie, we have all the time we need!" said Emma happily,
"Long story short, my car broke down." said Charlie.
Every one laughed and started eating the appetizing food.
