Sometimes we do it because we're saving someone.
Sometimes it happens unexpectedly, Never to go to a better world.
Who said life was fair?
When it's ending, remember the good times,
Because they were fantastic.
And we're both changing.
And that's OK.
There are those who loved and waited,
Some might say took the Slow Path,
But in the end, they didn't come back.
Others are trapped forever,
Never to return.
Friends become enemies,
But that doesn't mean it still doesn't hurt.
Feelings aren't returned,
Because they're for another.
Children leave, one way or another.
We don't recognize the love for us, Until it's too late.
And we my friend, are still alive and well,
Even you can't remember.
In the end, Nobody truly wants to go.
Past adventures, love, friends, losses, Pass us by.
And yet it has to happen.
But, still, I don't want to go.
No centurion has lived forever,
Death always comes to pass.
The closest of friends are gone now,
Every story ends,
On the last page.
And yet, we've met again!
The one who have previously saved me.
I don't know why,
I just know who.
Travel with me—
But they've blown away again,
Like an autumn leaf.
Every time we meet, It still hurts.
It's an impossible mystery.
And it's solved,
I finally can remember who she truly is.
She fought for me,
She's the only reason I'm still alive.
But I'm going to change.
And that's alright.
Just keep being my friend.
They're so brave in the end,
Even if they were too reckless,
I still love them.
And I know it's my fault,
But I hope I can be as brave as they.
And here it is,
The final, true, ending.
"Run like hell, because you always need to."
"Laugh at everything, because it's always funny."
"Never be cruel or cowardly, And if you are, always make amends."
I guess it's my turn now.
How about one last smile?
Don't worry, I'll remember it.
And one last thing,
Please be sure to—
Remember Me
*** A/N: I wrote this on a minibus in Guatemala. (Those are, by the way some really scary rides.) Anyway, I didn't want to use anybody the character's names, only because I think it can apply to anybody. I wonder if you'll be able to catch some of the more hidden meanings.
