Butterfly Wings;// One-Shot Poem Fanfiction
Her bare feet faintly touch the water,
No supports to hold her up,
A staff gracefully by her side,
Almost touching the waters surface.
People watch, praying for a safe passage,
For those who have died,
That they will get to the Farplane,
Safe and sound.
She spins the staff near her feet,
Raising it elegantly above her head,
Pyreflies burst out of no where,
The spirits of the fallen,
They float in the sunset sky above,
As a spiral of water pushes her up.
She spins around on one leg,
Her staff firmly by her side,
She tries to prove herself to Spira,
To show that she is strong enough,
And that the people can trust her,
To perform such an ancient ritual.
A female collapses on the ground below,
Tears taking over her.
He is breathless,
Stunned by how graceful,
One person on their own can act,
A pang of love fades into his heart,
As a mixture of emotions come in.
One day, he hopes,
There will never be a next time,
And maybe people will no longer be killed by Sin,
And get jealous of the living...
The endless dance comes to an end,
As the water is absorbed again,
Her heart flutters like butterfly wings,
Realising people still watch,
Carefully she steps over to them,
Her dance has finally ceased.
