Hogwarts: The Next Generation

I do not own any of the characters. This story was originally posted (by me) on Wattpad so it will probably be updated later than it. My username on Wattpad is Mellisa1313 The year is 2020 and Mellisa Chang has entered her sixth year at Hogwarts along with James Potter, Dominique Weasley, and many more. Join her as she arrives at Hogwarts and travels unexpectedly through time.

I wake to a tapping on my window. An owl with a letter. My Hogwarts letter. Finally I'll find out what I got on my O.W.L.s last year.

I rush over to the window to get my letter. I untach it and check to see what I got on my O.W.L.s last year. I look at my results.

My owls were pretty much like I expected. I'm fairly good at transfiguration. I've always been interested in Astronomy. Doubt I'll continue Care of Magical Creatures though. I joined mainly because Hagrid was teaching that class. I'm not going to continue History of Magic either. That class was pretty boring.

I go downstairs to go tell my mother what I got.

"Mom! I got my O.W.L.s grade back!" I tell her.

"Really, what did you get? Do you want to go today to get your supplies for this school year?"

"Maybe, I'll owl James to see when he's going. I would like to meet him there. I passed all of them although I got O's in Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, and Potions."

"Congratulations, I thought you would do well. We can tell your father when he gets back from work."

I run up to my room to write my letter and I find that find my black owl, Midnight, is back from hunting.

Dear James,

I just got my school supplies letter and I passed all my O.W.L.s. I barely passed History of Magic with an A. That class is so boring. I'm not going to continue taking that. I was wondering when you are going to Diagon Alley? I was planning on going today.

Mellisa

"Hey girl, can you deliver this one letter before you go to bed?"

She hoots like she's saying yes.

"Good, take this to James."

She arrives back about thirty minutes later when I am checking to see what I'll need to buy.

Dear Mellisa,

Congratulations on passing your O.W.L.s. I passed all of mine too! Well except History of Magic. I got a P. I didn't think I would pass it anyway. I was planning on going today to Diagon Alley at about eleven. How about we meet in Flourish and Blotts?

I read through the letter and write him back.

Dear James,

Ok, I'll see you there.

I attach that to his owl's, Snow, leg and send him back. I finally check my list and add to it that I'll need new robes, ink, parchment, books, and potion ingrediants.

"Mom, are you ready to go to Diagon Alley?"

"Yeah, although I'll apparate."

"Ok."

I grab the Floo Powder and put into the fire.

"DIAGON ALLEY" I shout and step in.
