I see you throwing yourself into your work, trying to save everyone, to find justice, but your eyes are dead, Sam. False enthusiasm, you're broken Sam, let me be the one to fix you.
You're the puzzle that I can't work out, every time I think I have you figured out, you surprise me again.
I'll keep coming back, no matter how you hurt me.
You flash me a grin from across the canteen and you come to talk to me, you tell me about your life back home, in Hyde. It breaks my heart. Why do you want to go back there so much Sam? Is there NOTHING to keep you here? Do you even believe in me? I wish you did, I hope you do.
Your hand feels warm on my face. You've just let the man that you believe to be your father escape. I can not blame you.
"I don't hate everything about this place." You say.
I can't help but smile, you're letting me in, finally, letting me love you.
