Summary: 'What you practice is what you manifest.' Sometimes, he can feel her.
'Only one thing registers on the subconscious mind: repetitive application — practice. What you practice is what you manifest.' –Fay Weldon
Sometimes, he can feel her.
Not much. Just the smallest — just the tiniest fraction of a bit.

But sometimes — the slip of her fingers, or maybe a high-five.
It's probably nothing, really. He knows enough about the universe and things to know it's implausible. Knows it's probably the over-workings of his Big Time Lord Brain and not actually the tinglings on the back of his Manly Hairy Hand.
But it is his hand, after all. So why not?
Because the thing is —
Sometimes he can feel her.
