It was his birthday today, and only Peony knew about it.

Jade quietly sat in his office while reading over the Ancient Texts. He just learned the spell Meteor Storm, and it was quite powerful. He sighed, put down the texts, and stared at the mess of books and papers made by the Emperor himself. Should he treat himself today? Everyone had decided to split up, and for some reason he because just a bit suspicious.

FLASHBACK

"Oh yeah! I just remembered I needed to buy something important for mother!" Luke said. And then he was rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh you mean that? Didn't she ask me to help you?" Guy asked.

"I don't need any help!"

"Well I just felt like coming with you anyway." Guy grinned.

"Since we're all going to meet up at the inn anyway. Let's just go our separate ways and enjoy ourselves." Tear said.

Everyone nodded.

"Well then, I'll be at my office if anybody needs me." Jade stated and walked away.

"Hurry everyone! We only have 2 hours left!" Anise whispered. Everyone then went to the shopping center.

"Colonel Curtiss!" A soldier said from beyond the door.

"Come in."

"Sir! His Majesty asks for your presence immediately!"

"Alright, go back to your post."

"Yes sir!" He saluted and left.

"(What could Peony want now…?)" He thought. Then he noted that it was probably another one of his crazy gifts. Last year he had given him a dress.

ANOTHER FLASHBACK

"You don't really expect me to wear this do you?" Jade said and stared at the dress one of the maids were holding. The maid blushed at the thought of him wearing a dress, even though the whole idea was crazy. Both men paid no attention to her, thank goodness.

"Oh course not! I think I would puke if I saw you wear this." Emperor Peony laughed.

The dress was composed of white, blue, and gold cloth. The county's national colors. The main color was white, and the dress was strapless. It came with a dark blue collar with the Malkuth symbol on it, and the dress had a second layer at the bottom with the same color. The only gold on the dress was the ribbon that was tied around the waist part.

"It's beautiful isn't it? I think it's time that you get yourself a wife." He grinned. "I'll send the dress to your manor."

The maid bowed and left.

"Thank you for this gift Your Majesty. I'll try my best to find a woman to marry…" Jade stated…sarcastically.

Jade made his way to the castle and then up the stairs to the audience chamber. He opened the door and then there were shouts that made him twitch a little.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JADE!!"

Anise threw confetti into the air, Natalia clapped, and so did everyone else. With that, Jade shut the door silently and strode back to his office.

I'm just joking. Kekeke.

He raised a eyebrow, walked in, and closed the door behind him. "My my, this is surprising."

"Heh, we kinda knew you would say something like that!" Guy chuckled. And what followed were snorts coming from Peony's pet rappigs.

Everyone was dressed nicely, and Jade still had his military uniform on.

"Don't worry Jade! I got you something nice to wear in place of your uniform!" Peony said.

Not again…

Later that day he was given a brand new spear from Luke and Guy, a capacity core from Anise, and a special kind of curry made from Tear and Natalia.

Dammit, I was going to upload this yesterday but the site wouldn't let me upload the document. (cries) So I copied and pasted it on to a spare document I uploaded months ago.
