Lincoln, Lana, and Lola are going to the park. They will have a boat race.
"Hey, where is the water?" asked Lana.
"It has not rained in weeks," says Mr. McBride. "It might not rain again for a long time."
"If only I could control the weather," says Lincoln. That gives Lincoln an idea. "I wonder..."
"We can make it rain!" he says.
Lincoln, Lola, and Lana dress up for a rain dance.
"Just do what I do," says Lincoln. "Reach for the sky!"
"Now spin like a top!"
"And now just do whatever you want!" says Lincoln.
Drip, drop!
"It is working!" cries Lincoln.
"It's only Lana," says Lola.
But Lana gives Lincoln an idea.
"We can fill up pond with the hose," he says. Lincoln, Lana, and Lola pull... and pull... and pull.
But the hose is not long enough.
"Pull harder," says Lincoln.
Lola drops the hose. Lincoln and Lana go flying! "Oops, sorry!" cries Lola.
Lincoln has another idea- water balloons!
"How will we get all these water balloons to the pond?" asks Lola.
Lincoln smiles.
He knows just what to do. "Ready! Aim! Fire!" he commands.
Splat!
"We cannot have a boat race without water," says Lana.
Lincoln sees Rocky go by on his skateboard. He knows just what to do! "We can have a boat race without water!"
"Follow me!" says Lincoln.
"Welcome to Lincoln's first annual toy boat race- on dry land!" says Lincoln.
Go, Lana!
Go, Lola!
Go, Lincoln!
It is a three-way tie!
Then boom!
It starts to thunder.
Then it starts to rain.
It is still raining at bedtime.
Lincoln smiles.
They can have a water boat race tomorrow.
