AN: Okay, I'm not entirely sure, but somehow this fic became a duplicate of my Shy Boys fic. I lost the file to the original one a long time ago, so I rewrote it to avoid any further confusion. Sorry. . .
The airship soared high over the air as a sense of victory was felt in each Light Warrior's Heart, along with the ones that had helped them succeed their goal. Granted, 2 of them were missing, as Arc had asked to stay behind with Alus, to help with 'running the kingdom' as he had worded it, though everyone knew that was only half the reason.
As everyone else bustled around the ship, Refia and Desch leaned over the railing, watching the birds fly with them, welcoming the relief of an airship nearby incase their travels had made them too weary.
"You know. . ." Refia sighed, looking over at Desch finally, "Your girlfriend is still waiting for you. . ."
"Yeah. . ." Desch said, his mind obviously somewhere else then where he was currently standing.
"Are you going to go back to her?" she asked.
"I guess. . ."
A small frown formed on Refia's face, still looking at the all but enthusiastic Desch, "You know, just because she's you girlfriend doesn't mean you're shackled to her. You can still break up with her if you want to."
Desch remained silent
"Are you even listening to me?" Refia's voice started to grow colder as she grew more annoyed.
"Hm?" Desch turned to her finally, and Refia sharply turned away and stormed back to below deck muttering something about how men were so stupid
"Someone doesn't look too happy." Luneth remarked as he watched her storm down the stairs that led below deck as he walked up them.
"I think I said something. . ." Desch sighed, then shrugged, "All well, girls are just so complex that I've never understood them anyways."
"You can say that again." the silver-haired Light Warrior grinned, leaning over the railing next to Desch, "Refia's just picky though, but she's not heartless. She'll come up with some apology before tomorrow."
"I'll take your word." Desch smiled as Luneth left to continued whatever business he was doing.
"You're up late." Refia turned from the railing to the stairs leading below deck, seeing Desch come up from them. He joined her leaning over the railing again as she replied.
"Yeah. . .I couldn't really get to sleep. . ."
"Me neither." Desch gave a small smile.
A silence fell over the two warriors, before Refia spoke again.
"I'm. . .sorry about what I said. I shouldn't have said anything about your girlfriend. She's sick in bed waiting for you. . .and-"
"She's not really my girlfriend. . ." Desch sighed.
"What? But. . ." Refia started.
"She. . .She thinks I'm some one else. Someone who I'm not. . ." he shook his head, "It's a long a complicated story, I'm sure it'll bore you."
"Probably. I'm not really the patient one out of the group." Refia smiled, "So. . .what are you going to do now?"
Desch didn't answer, but instead smiled. Soon, Refia found herself with Desch's arms around her, holding her tight as their lips interlocked. Refia's expression was the classic example of shock, but she soon calmed down as they continued kissing.
Little did they know, Luneth and Ignus were watching from the stairs.
"That is now 400 gil you owe me." Ignus smiled.
"Remind me to never make bets with you again." Luneth sighed.
