DRABBLE. I wrote this much and then I thought, "This can't be continued. It refuses to budge." SO. It's a little thing about Roxas and Namine getting used to being part of Sora and Kairi, mostly about their dreams. Why is it I've been writing about dreams lately?

DISCLAIMER. If I owned Kingdom Hearts, I would never have even thought up Xion.

It wasn't so bad, being inside Kairi's mind. The girl's mind was a bright, cheerful place, with lots of sun and green grass and flowers of all sorts. Naminé made her bed under a different tree every night, and then the stars would come out as Kairi would sleep at the same time. But Kairi's mind at night was not the same as it was in the day.

She would have nightmares constantly, and it affected Naminé too. Her own sleep would get so troubled by Kairi's nightmarish memories of being without her heart that she would be exhausted the next day, adding on to Kairi's exhaustion. She felt sorry for the girl, because she was more tired than she needed to be.

Yes, she could feel now. Feel truly, anyway. Naminé felt every single thing Kairi did, and she also felt emotions of her own. It was something very different to her previous existence—back then, she was only able to feel certain emotions, as she had been different than the other Nobodies. Feeling all the new emotions made her wonder how Roxas was taking it.

. . .

Sora's mind was different. It wasn't something Roxas knew how to handle properly. He was used to the dark; used to slipping in and out of shadows. Roxas could handle light; after all, he had had missions in Agrabah. But after living (or non-living; take your pick) for so long in the World That Never Was, the bright and happy place of Sora's thoughts was uncomfortable for Roxas.

Sora was afflicted by nightmares too, but Roxas was not as delicate as Naminé and dealt with it better. He, too, had his share of battles, so he simply ignored Sora's memories as the two of them slept. But he thought of the delicate blonde constantly. Was she okay? She wasn't used to nightmares and the like, so Roxas worried for her. The rest of the time he spent mourning Axel, his best friend.

He was angry at Axel for throwing himself into a full attack, and angry at Sora for not doing anything about it. Sora had healing magic; why didn't he try to save Axel?! Roxas's angry thoughts were felt by Sora, and Sora felt guilty. It made Roxas feel a small justice was done for his friend, that at least Sora had the decency to feel guilty.

Review, if you will. And vote on my poll, please. I like it when people do that. X)
