Chapter 1: More than a Dream
Have you ever had that right feeling to do something, not like, get good grades, more than that. I have, my dream is to become a fashion designer. That's what I have always wanted to be. The dream hit me when my mum bought me some new converse and a dress. I was delighted. I want people to feel as happy as I was when I received that gift. That's why I want to make things like that and its what enjoy doing. In textiles im the best in the class and I have made a dress, for my 15th birthday I got a mannequin for my pieces I make.
'HONEY!, wake up sweetie'. Mum was shouting me to get up, I have my final piece for my GCSE's. I am so excited for this work. I got ready to head of down to St Leonards-Mayfield School. A landline filled the house with beeping. Skye picked it up and said 'hi, sky tanberry here'. Mum clutched the phone, she hung it up with guilt. 'Mum, what's wrong'? 'I'm sorry Honey but your course is full and you haven't been selected for it.' I nearly broke down in tears but managed to twrap my arms around mum for slipping my pyjamas on again and making a cup of tea. I guess dreams are sometimes not meant to be..
I sloped onto the sofa, watching TV, anything to do with fashion was on. Another phone call approached the telephone. It was the upgraded classed college. Hello? They replies with, ' the course, the reason it is full is because we scrapped you out of it and put another person into it. Your more qualified and better than the rest, that's why we want you to come and do the course after you have worked and gathered ideas with famous designers'. I gasped, real famous designers to help me with the work.?' I dropped the phone, I was stunned with delight and so excited. I was going to meet the most famous designers in 3 days..!
