Title: Cemetery

Character(s): Droite, Kaito

Rating: T-ish

Warning(s): Ehh, not really...

A/Ns: Okay, so not all romance like I usually go. This is just Anxietyshipping in a friendship kind of way. I guess?

Droite knelt down in front of the tombstone, placing the bouquet of flowers on the tattered cement cross. Kaito stood behind her, as he had saw her here earlier and was curious as to what she was doing.

He looked towards the stone, seeing the label. It read:

Misayuki Notsugaya

Beloved Daughter and Mother

October 18, 2327 to May 15, 2342

"Was she your mother?" he asked tentatively. She gazed back at him for a moment before nodding.

"Yes, she was." Droite looked away for a couple of seconds before continuing on. "If you want to know, yes, that's my birthday. She died during childbirth."

Kaito's eyes softened a little. "You never got to know her."

"Or the identical twin sister that was mine." She stood up, her yellow sundress falling around her long, thin legs.

He looked at her with wide eyes. "You had an identical twin?"

She nodded in response. "Yes, I did. She and I were seperated. I have absolutely no clue as to her whereabouts. All that I know is that her name is Delara." A sigh escaped her lips. "I'm not even sure she's still alive."

"Hmm." Kaito didn't know how to respond to that.

With another soft sigh, Droite looked directly at him. "I don't know who my dad is, either. My mother was fourteen when she was pregnant with my twin and I." She rolled her shoulders and rubbed her neck, her eyes narrowing as she swallowed audibly. "I was left on the streets as an infant, where I was picked up by an old couple. I ran away-I think- when I was three. I met Gauche in Spartan City -where the both of us grew up- and it just kind of went on from there."

Kaito looked at her calmly, feeling a slight amount of her pain. His mother had died during childbirth as well, and he had no idea what happened to Haruto's mom. His father was a big screw-up who was trying to repair irreversible damage he'd inflicted upon both of his sons, which was not having any effect whatsoever.

She turned away from him, starting to walk away. He blinked, looking towards her as she went.

Before she disappeared behind the trees, she said over her shoulder, with every bit of seriousness she had, "You're lucky, Kaito. You still have a family."

And then she left.

I have no idea why I wrote this. I just felt like writing it.

Okay, so my b-day's tomorrow, and I'm feeling a little down, cuz my grandma isn't here for it. I guess that's where this came from.

Anywho, for those who are following Barian Storm, I'm having trouble writing the last chapter, hence why I'm taking so long to update it. Sorry.

Reviewza, please. :)
