The Gods Point of View

It was a sunny day in Miami, Florida 1953 and seventeen year old Athena Simmons was in bed sleeping. Her alarm clock went off two hours late; she wasn't the happiest camper in the world. She went downstairs and in amazement that her younger brother Robert had tricked her into thinking it was a school day. She walked up and said, "you're in so much trouble …." and then she was abruptly stopped by Robert,"But you can't do anything while mom and dad are gone here " and he frowned. Athena then smiled and said "They gave me permission to do what I need to do if your bad." Then Robert said "Why did they have to pick today to be gone?" "Duh." Athena said "Today is mom's bakeries 10 year anniversary."
It became late afternoon and Athena was in her room reading her favorite novel Where the Red Fern Grows when she heard a door slam and it was her mom. She went down stairs so she could tell on Robert. Instead she gave her mom a hug because she was crying. Athena said, "what's wrong" Then her mom said " your father and I are not together anymore".
The next morning Athena woke to what sounded like lightning and spears flying in the air, and she realized that she was in full battle gear. She had a throwing spear by her side. In her left hand was a bronze shield and in her right hand was a shining bronze sword. She was in the middle of a war between someone in a black charite and people wearing togas, but she wasn't a mortal. She was a beautiful woman in shining bronze armor. She woke in astonishing fear. She was back in her room, and it was raining with loud thunder and lightning. She was thinking ,"Could I really be that woman?" She was up all night looking on the internet and in awe. She found information on anything she could and she found a picture of a greek goddes. She knew now.
The next morning she went down stairs and said to her mom ,"Mom is there something you've been… hiding from me." And her mom said ,"No dear, where did you get that idea from?" The doorbell rang Robert said ,"I GOT IT!." And he came back with an envelope with a red seal. Her mom started to cry. "Come on Athena were leaving."said her mom
Athena ran and put on her coat. Mom told Robby not to leave. I'll be back tomorrow. Mrs. Smith will be here shortly." "Ok mom." Once Athena and her mother made it to the interstate, Athena ask her mom where they were going? Her mom said ,"Olympus honey you're going to be fine." "WHAT! I'm a Goddess I knew it, and you didn't tell me!" "I know but I wanted to tell you later because …" "Because why." "Because I love you so much I couldn't see you leave." Athena felt a sudden urge of guilt. "Mom I …. I'am so sorry." Mom said ,"It's ok." Athena said ,"Were is Olympus." "We'll be there soon."
An hour later, Athena woke up to see a big city ahead. Mom said ,"welcome to New York." Athena sat open mouthed in awe. Mom are we almost there?" Mom said ,"Why do you ask ." "Oh no reason, but we're being followed." Mom looked back stunned to see senators running after her. Ok honey you need to go to the Empire state building and ask for the 1,000th floor and go to the palace of the gods. I'll be ok." "but mom ." Mom pushed Athena out as she yelled ,"Nooooooooo." That was the last she saw of her mom. Now she was on her own. She started to walk into the city alone and cold.
She woke up in an alleyway behind a trash can. "Where am I." "Well little lady you're in New York. Athena yelped in surprise to see a senator wearing an orange t-shirt that said camp Full Moon and Athena said ,"Who…who are you?" "Well I'm Shiron and who might you be?" and she stood up and said ,"I'm Athena, Athena Simmons." Sharon gasped and fainted. Five seconds he was awake and said ,"let's go get you to Mt. Olympus.
